Good morning. I hope all of you had a good weekend. I figure it's been a week or so since we've posted a file for everyone so here's another minor build update.

So after a week of testing we're comfortable bringing you guys another update. This build is the primary reason that we pulled .174 as it still had errors in it and this is clean(er). We have yet to find any major issues and believe this is what .173 should have been at rollout (without the smart action and search force close issues). We do not yet know if this is part of the upgrade path. Don't ask. You can still fastboot/RSD back to stock and reupgrade to 173 if it becomes necessary. Anyway, lets begin.

Pros: FC fixes for search key in app drawer and smart actions. Updated CDMA Radio (not LTE). We're noticing after a week or so of usage that the battery life seems to be better. Mileage may vary.

Cons: It's not ICS? Realistically, nothing. Report anything you find.

1) Be running stock unmodified 6.12.173.XT912 - No exceptions. Usual drill. Can't come from another build.

2) Download

file and put it on your external SD card. (Blur_Version.6.12.173.XT912.Verizon.en.US) - MD5 - 3D551103E802238AA007C6A2463D1FB2

3) Install via Moto Recovery - (Power/vol + and - when unit is powered down. Select recovery, both vol keys at the exclamation, find your file, yadda yadda. We should all be used to this by now)

4) Wait

5) Reboot when complete - Profit

(We've noticed that this update does break root. You can reroot with Dan Rosenberg's motofail exploit or use OTA rootkeeper.)

If you find this post useful/helpful, don't forget the Like button ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------>

(If either matt or another admin with FTP access wants to throw the file on our FTP instead they can. It's too early for me to go digging around trying to find our login info :P)

Very interesting. I think I'll wait because the devs around here are just starting their work with .173 based ROMs and I can't imagine they'd switch to .175 so quickly. But thanks for the info and the ability, this site is great for those who want the absolute newest update all the time!

Hmm debating installing this. I know my ICS rom is technically a 175 build...at least it was before he changed the title of it to 17X. And it won't break root...so I could just flash this over stock root 173. But man I just got ICS the way I wanted it lol.

Seriously. Step 1.

I know; I know. I just wondered if anyone had tried it. Sometimes exceptions still still work.

Just checked it. Fine on my end. Are you on a filtered connection at work or something? You can just download it from the mobile site on your phone. The file's pretty small even if you're on a limited data plan.

Adding my goo-inside.me mirror to the OP. Also would like to note it DOES break root and requires OTA rootkeep or using the new root exploit again.

Please do not Personal Message me for help or troubleshooting. They will be ignored. Post in threads or start one in Q&A sections.

I was running 175 yesterday but for me, I had at least 3 or 4 random data drops while on cdma only. I personally have not had a single drop on 173 or even 174 when I was on that leak. Back to 173 for me.

I was having another issue with 175 and thought it was an error in the build but now that I am back on 173 I realize it still does not work so it may just be my phone.
