I'm new to the android phones. I bought the Droid Razr a couple of days ago and been thinking of rooting my phone or installing 6.12.xxx and waiting until something comes out on rooting the 6.12.xxx firmware. Are users having problems with the 6.11.xxx that justifies updating to the new software?

I am sure most will recommend that you take the official update to 6.12.173. It has significant upgrades and improvements. There is a method available to root after you update.
