Just tried to crop a picture in the gallery and I keep getting force closed. Anyone else experiencing this?

Yes, noticed it last night. Happens every time.

Also, is there any way to change the lockscreen apps without having to go third party?

Yeah in SystemUI the stat_sys_battery_charge (i think thats the xml) was set up for the pngs that has an animation like progress bar.

If its okay with Matt, I have a SystemUI I could post that doesn't have the animation.

Sure if thats what you want to do go ahead.

Let your battery drain to 15% turn your phone off and recharge it to 100% see if it fixes it.

It sounds like you are lacking the basic knowledge of what things mean and how they work. I would suggest spending a good amount of time reading around this site to familiarize yourself with how things work to prevent getting your phone into a place you cannot recover from.

Also this guide

will help.

We would be glad to help you out after you are more familiar with everything

what is different since the original droid? I used to flash a new rom on my original droid at least once a week.
Are there ways that are as easy as the droid to flash roms? I am already on jelly bean and rooted just need to install roms.

It's harder because of the locked bootloader, but still not too bad.

Safestrap is a modified TWRP recovery, a really nice Touch recovery better than anything for the OG Droid.

You keep the Stock Rom and then flash new Roms into additional "slots" that use your stock kernel.

Only thing I can tell you is to Google "Hashcode" & look for how to use safe strap. Instructions are there.

This is how I do it hope it helps not responsible if something happens...most people will tell you to research before asking I was there once someone helped me so I do this to pay it forward.

Okay man here you go...this is using Safestrap 3.11

Make a backup of your phone if you haven't done so already. Titanium Backup is a paid app if you don't want to pay for it skip this step but you'll have to redownload anything you want. I choose not to use titanium backup.

So download your ROM and gapps if it requires you to.

Transfer those files to your external SD card. I have a folder named ROM folder so it's easier for me.

Okay reboot into recovery....meaning power your phone off power it again and you will see what is called a splash screen of a little alien...that is your recovery menu you must hit the menu key located on the bottom left on navigation keys.

Okay congrats you're rebooted into recovery

So your stock slot will be activated and selected, click boot options slot 1 (I do 2 gigs) click activate and let it do its thing (takes about 3-5 minutes)

Once done it will say slot 1 activated.

Now press back go to wipe and wipe:
Cache, Dalvik, Factory, and System. That is called a full wipe. Those four wipes are the top four don't touch anything else.

Go back and click INSTALL

Now go to your folder where you put the ROM and gapps if applicable. If only ROM is needed click it and swipe to flash. If you need to flash gapps select your ROM and click add more zips now it will take your to your folder of ROMs so select the gapps needed for your ROM.

So swipe to flash after you selected what you need, that will take another 3-5 minutes to do its thing.

Once completed I always wipe cache/dalvik again it will give you that option after you flash. Then after that, reboot system set up your phone and you're set.

Been running this ROM for about 2 weeks now. It's been very smooth , but today I've noticed that it'll get sluggish when opening various apps. It's been random and not centered around any particular app when it happens. Any ideas?
