Okay so im not to good with the gadgets I guess, i recently tried switching roms(4.3>4.4) unfortunately i wasn't able to, i was told i needed a higher version of twrp i currently have 2.5.0.0. i found a couple versions like 2.6.3.1 but have no idea how to update it, if true what do i do, and is twrp recommended if not what is better and to install.

There are a couple of ways to flash recovery. I prefer the fastboot method. Put the phone in fastboot mode connected to PC. Have the recovery image in the same folder as fastboot on the PC, open a command window in that fastboot folder, then type the command -

Fastboot flash recovery nameofrecovery.img

Then reboot immediately into recovery.
