I may be in some trouble...

My phone is rooted. I kept getting notifications telling me to download and update the software via the OTA update, so I downloaded it and tried to install it but kept receiving error messages, probably because my phone is rooted. I decided to try and flash the 4.1.2 instead, so I downloaded the JB file from sbf-droiddevelopers.com (or whatever it's called) and also downloaded RSD lite. I backed up all the data, hard reset my phone, and unrooted it with the Droid 4 utility. I then tried to flash JB with RSD lite, and received error messages. I didn't know any better, so I tried to flash back to ICS with RSD lite, which rendered my phone basically unusuable.

This is the message I get each time I turn on my phone:

AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S) (Boot Failure)

0A.74

eMMC Info: Size 16G

To return to normal mode - first press power key to power down

Device is LOCKED> Status code: 0

Batttery Low

Cannot program

Transfer Mode:

USB connected  ---> (this was because I connected it to my usb port on my computer)

Invalid CG OTV (CG system): Inbalid SP Data

Invalid CG HAB (CG: system, status: 0X004E)

Invalid CG OTB (CG: system)

I have tried to use the droid 4 utility, the UnbrickXT912Jellybean.zip, but nothing has worked. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix??? I really don't want to go the Verizon store since it is passed my warranty date.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Looks like you have a low battery..... You cannot anything flash with low battery .... You will need to get (or make) a "factory cable" before attempting to flash again.....

Also....F.Y.I... The unbrick xt912 utility will not work on the droid 4... It is for the RAZR

First why on earth would you use utilities not meant for your phone? We have different processors than a Droid4

as hillbilly said, you need to get the battery charged,

next, you need to get something to flash like the logo.bin and then MAYBE you can use RSD with the correct files to recover. Or maybe RSD can just work, but usually the flash failure message means you need to get something to work before going further.

the other messages basically mean you borked the System Partition(SP), and possibly some others.

HI guys,

I have the same issue. Same mistakes and bricked phone. I do have a factory cable but every ROM I tried I got an error from the RSD Lite.

Failed flashing process. 6/18 flash cdt.bin "cdt.bin" -> Phone returned FAIL

I used 'VRZ_XT912_6.5.1-73_DHD-11_TA-3_1FF_02.xml'

I also tried to unbrick the phone with DroidRAZRUtility1.6 but same error on the same file, see below:

     sending 'cdt.bin' (16 KB)... OKAY [  0.003s]
             writing 'cdt.bin'... INFOPreflash validation failure
FAILED (remote: )
    sending 'devtree' (512 KB)... OKAY [  0.241s]
             writing 'devtree'... INFOPreflash validation failure
FAILED (remote: )
error: cannot load 'files\logo.bin'

Is there any solution?

Thanks.

Were you on JB prior to running the Utility?

What device are you on? What is were you on prior to flashing what you did? The errors look like a security error meaning you were trying to flash backwards an OS.

That version that you tried to flash was GingerBread 2.3.5 for the XT912, so if you were on ICS or JB, that file won't work.  My concern is that this thread was regarding the D4 and if you are on a D4, then it wouldn't work regardless.  That is why my first question is - What device are you on?
