Thanks. But I thought for ROMs you should use Safestrap and for Themes you should use Bootstrap??? :)

Its up to the creator of the ROM or theme on how it should be installed.

im having a small issue. I was running .748 and bigs ICS theme. i decided to test out the Rom selection, so i downloaded RazrX v1.1, i did a factory reset/wipe cleared cache, flashed the RazrX rom, got all my apps and everything set back up, OTA rootkeeper says im still rooted, all my other applications seem to be working, but RazrBootstrapper isnt showing in my app list, i located it on my sd card using root explorer, i clicked on it, and when trying to install, it just sits on the screen and will NOT let me choose to Install. i have deleted the file, re-downloaded and came up with the same thing, the install button will not let me press it. Same goes for safestrap, i downloaded that and tried installing, it opens up the screen when i click on the apk file, but again, it will not let me press on the Install button. Can anyone help me out with this, as of right now im all out of ideas....

I installed Rom ToolBox and am able to boot into Recovery through it, which is great.. but it still is not showing razr bootstrapper in the app drawer. so if anyone can still help me fix that, that'd be great, but not in a big hurry as I can get into CWR now. shoots

Nope. Its your Razr. I had that issue with Safestrap, removed the recovery. Installed Bootstrap, couldn't restore /system/ either. RSD Lite and a wipe on first boot later...they both work fine with restoring. Not sure what happened to it, but yours is the same problem I've faced.

I just manually backup/restore my messages database every time I do anything major to my phone. I don't want anything else from my phone saved... That's just me

SMS Backup / Restore works great for that.

Not quite. If you want full control, help out with demanding the unlocked bootloader from Motorola.
