Good morning everyone. Hope the weekend was fun for everyone. I apologize for not getting this out last night as promised. Had some friend drama to deal with. Anyway. Moving on to the interesting stuff.

Again a minor build update. No major changes. Just posting this so that you guys can be "up to date." You can RSD/Fastboot back as usual (we will probably never publicly post anything you can't return from just FYI)

Before you ask what's different. I'll just tell you basically nothing. It's all back-end. This is just for you crack-flash addicts out there.

If you need instructions on how to install this refer to one of my previous guides for the last 3 builds. Instructions haven't changed. No, you can't flash this unless you're on anything except 6.12.173. Please don't ask.

File is

.

Rollback package (to 6.12.173.XT912) can be had

. (This is for those of you who want to return back to stock .173 without restoring via fastboot etc. Since it's asked 14 million times in the other thread, I'll pre-emptively answer the question that comes up all time: No this does not wipe your data in any way shape or form.)

Forgot to put in the MD5:

82a5954c6fed141f1399a6ef8c396317 - Update package
dd1000ac6482d347293f054afc6e55f0 - Rollback package

Enjoy.

As usual, if you enjoy these leaks just hammer the crap outta this like button over here ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------>

Friend's wife cheated on him. Getting him drunk out of his mind took priority. Sorry.

Holy cow! I changed the name of the file from ...173 to ...177 and copied it from PC to external SD card. Powered down and booted into the maintenance screen. Volume down button wouldn't work, so I couldn't get into recovery, so I pressed power to reboot. Once the phone comes up and I unlock, a message pops up telling me I have an update available on my SD card, like it was an OTA! I'm following instructions and it's flashing now ... rebooting ... taking longer than normal as the message warned ... complete! "The software update was successful! Your phone has been upgraded to 6.12.177.en.US version.

First test: Power off charge light: Still missing. Bummer.
Second test: Send myself a TXT. Screen off LED still flashing green. (I'm told it used to be blue.)
Third test: Data speed. Similar to last night on 173, but a little lower, on WiFi, 4G LTE and 3G.
Fourth test: Call sound volume. No change.

Sigh.

I wonder how hard it would be to take the stock ROM and add back the color LED notifications they took out.

Is the data connections drops less in this update or same as the 173? Not sure if its worth to upgrade to 177 besides being up to date

No more than the previous 4 builds. Maybe on 3G? I'm in a 4G area and that radio hasn't changed. 3G was updated from 173 a few builds back though.

On .175, my text notifications are a purplish white and always have been. At least on IC3RAZR and AXIOM.

I don't notice any led color differences, except I get no charging light anymore.

I use Handcent for messaging and I choose custom colors for different people - RED for sms "pages" from work, certain color for my wife, etc. etc.

Somebody told me TXT notifications used to be signaled by a blue LED. Honestly I never noticed myself. Arcane says it was always green, which is what it is now. So really the only thing missing is the power-off charging LED, which used to change from red to amber to green, and now is absent.
