This happened to me and I was trying everything. Got safestrap to pop up by going through the menu by holding all the side buttons down but couldn't get it to restore anything. Disabled safestrap through safestrap option and then it started charging after that.

Not a problem, I just tried it again on mine to confirm and it took about 3 or 4 tries before it worked lol. Sorry I couldn't respond sooner!
I couldn't get this to work for me, but was able to power off from Fastboot mode though. Just an fyi!
