I bought a droid razr maxx off eBay for 37 dollars it had a cracked screen /lcd and a bad esn the guy said that whenever he plugs it into the charger a white led comes on does anyone know what that means I was going to swap battery parts with it I have an original razr now
hey there Matt, logged in real quick to respond to ya cuz it seems like you're doing some interesting work with a seemingly mundane query.
Coming from an averagely articulated razr user, the white light comes on for me during these scenarios; If my phone is dead and needs to be plugged into the wall to charge, as opposed to getting a charge VIA m-usb ->usb pc cable, the phone lets you know this by flashing its led light white. Or maybe it is one constant light. But for me this white light at that moment is telling me; "the PC cable is not sufficient to charge your phone from 0% atm, so use your wall chord to get some power."
That may be just one incident where it utilizes the white. But again, a flashing light might mean something from a troubleshooting standpoint the light being constant.
any other times i'm pretty sure were during incidents much like my first example (not enough power to boot or initiate/sustain a productive charge) hope that helps Matt!
btw @OP; intereting topic

Do I have to start flashing roms that are for the DROID RAZR maxx? Or the OG RAZR?

You can flash any of them. OG is the same as the Razr Maxx. Battery is the only difference.

Could I unlock it then? I remember seeing a while ago that you could unlock the bootloader for the maxx. You can flash any of them. OG is the same as the Razr Maxx. Battery is the only difference.

The unlock was on the HD/M. It's dead now too..
