Haha, not even 24 hours later a couple people are saying they got soak emails.
Either they sent them out REALLY early or I call BS. Cause it was still being tested last week. They've never sent out soak emails that fast. So, I don't trust that.

We can retain it. That's not the question. The question is whether or not we have a working exploit. I'll put together a post about all this soon.
Sorry...there has been so much talk about what the HD folks are going through plus the fact that I wasn't sure if the smart actions exploit would carry over to the Bionic or if we were going to have to do something entirely different.

But we don't already have any working 4.2.2 builds! We need 4.1 now!I just wanted to stress to people that soak emails do not mean an immediate push of the update. People are getting all excited. It means it's coming, but, doesn't necessarily mean when.
All joking aside, I am pretty excited to have HDMI out working again.
I'm pretty sure big red saw your prediction about the timing of the soak test. No other way to explain that

VZW doesn't control the soak test. Moto does. There's only one explanation for the soak emails going out so early. If the soak comes this week I'll be shocked and it will confirm my suspicion.

That this build didn't go to VZW for approval. But we'll see. If it doesn't get pushed to soak testers in the next 2 weeks, then that's less likely.

That would be interesting. I'd be surprised that they wouldn't at least try to get verizon's approval.

Think about the timeline though. We know it was in testing at Moto last week. If it went to VZW for approval, that's a 2 week process.
