Im on a HD but most times when that happens its because it wasnt on stock before you started if you were rooted and lost root it wont work. Just a thought.

Hello everyone and Mr.Dan Rosenberg,

I've rooted many motorola devices with your exploits and tools, really thankful for your work. It made android easier. I wish i could get bootloader unlock for my rusty and eol'ed xt910 nowadays. I've been more busy with this subject lately and i found some files in japanese source code site. I had a quick look and i think it should be examined by experts like you instead of me.

Bump

Guys, I'm pretty sure Dan has not looked at this thread in forever. With the 910 similar to the 912 I can confidently say there will not be a bootloader unlock coming. The changes from the OG Razr to the HD/M as far as internal architecture made the unlock for their phone possible. Also Dan is Semi-retired from exploit land and if he was to work on something it would be the newest cutting edge phone.

Sorry guys just not gonna happen.  :(

If I'm ok with my current locked bootloader, do I need to be concerned with this? I haven't taken the most recent update (I guess that was in July) and my updater is frozen.

No if your happy with the way your phone is running but any new roms require the bootloader unlocked... I'm not gunna go into the benefits of unlocking But if you take update then later decide you wanna unlock then your out of luck

Ok, but if I do decide to take the update (right now I'm on 4.1.2) and then unlock the bootloader, can I root again? I could have sworn I saw a post a few days ago regarding that but I can't seem to find it.
Thanks!

You want to unlock THEN update. Can't do the other way around.

Ok. But I thought that before (perhaps July), there was a post saying that the most recent mototchopper wouldn't work with the new Android update.
