Hey all. I'm new to this forum, just rooted my razr yesterday, installed safestrap 1.09, I have wiped data, cache, dalvik and formatted system, but when I install bw from my sd card I go into a bootloop. Safe system is enabled. Any help?

Edit: I restored, grabbed the release from 5-15, B36, and it fired right up after wipe, etc etc. Should I have Bootstrapper v2 to make the newest release work?

no it should have worked through safestrap. Did you check md5 to make sure you didnt get a corrupt download? only thing i can think of. ..

I'm using Bootstrap v2 & stuck in DUAL CORE logo. What I did:
1. RSD to 2.3.6
2. Reboot recovery via bootstrap
3. Wipe data, cache, dalvik & format system
4. Instal zip from sdcard
5. Flash BW 2012-06-19
6. Flash GSM patch
7. Reboot system

And than stuck in DUAL CORE logo..

its built for CDMA, and having over 80 downloads and hearing 2 people bootloop, im going to have to go with, It must be the GSM patch?
any other feedback from people saying they also bootloop, i will then pull the file and take another look at the updater script. ..

It not happening on 2012-05-17. Maybe you're right, coz the GSM patch. Can you make the GSM patch for BW2012-06-19.. if you dont mind..

can always try using safestrap 1.09, but im betting its the GSM-patch you flash after the rom...

possibly in the future. not at the top of my list though, been working more on the leak builds and i don't use voice.. if i get more requests i will take the time to find out which edits are needed and get it done. but you should be able to find the voice.apk on XDA or root wiki.. that is inverted and should work on the ROM

I'm running cdma, so I'm guessing just bad dl on my part. Will try again in the next day or so.

FWIW, I'm running a Droid RAZR with 6.12.173 and safestrap 1.09 and when I follow the directions:

• Download and move zip/s to sdcard-ext
• Reboot into Recovery
• Create a Backup! (dont say i didnt warn you)
• YOU MUST Wipe Data/Factory Reset
• Wipe Cache partition
• (in Advanced) Wipe Dalvik cache
• (in Mounts and Storages) Format System
• Install zip from sdcard
• Flash ROM (do not flash Gapps or DarkGapps)
• Reboot System now

I get stuck in a boot loop when updating to B39. B36 works great on the same phone with the same setup. I'm on Verizon/CDMA so I'm not affected by the GSM patch. I also verified the md5 of the download on my SD card versus the md5 on the forum. All matches up so I don't think I got a bad download.

have you guys checked the MD5 to the file you downloaded and failed to flash, with the MD5 given in the OP? if they don't match that means you have a corrupt download and it won't flash successfully

6cedc5ce6e808738d466eda2d5259ec2 is the md5 on the zip on my sdcard, pulled from ES file explorer.

The only other thing I can think to add is I'm trying to upgrade from .181

well its a matching MD5, and you can install from .181, I'm going to pull the file and go through the updater script. If any of you guys who got a failed flash, send me a private message and i will give u a link to the new build, see if we can't get it working again....
