Sorry for the delay in posting a link, just ran into an issue with the set up closing. Trying to fix it, but since I don't have a device I have to upload it, and then my tester has to download it, and then flash to test. A time consuming process

You should be able to flash the kernel (boot.img) and then flash the ROM.

if its the 4.1.2 kernel then no you should be fine!

No, you have to be on the ROM for the OTA to work.
