Recently updates to JB and I am now unable to dl new apps. Updates also fail-error code (406) comes with wifi or data usage. cleared cache and data from playstore to no avail.

Anyone having similar issues or can help, I would much appreciate it

I'm not saying it will work but go to apps>all> play store and it might say uninstall updates.

You may be onto something. I had actually tried that before posting, unsuccessfully.
I received an error saying "unfortunately settings has stopped"

You can also try clearing app data and cache on that same screen

Well with that being said I don't know what else to do myself. I'm starting to think it might not be a market issue...Idk. mine works fine.

Idk if it wouldn't hurt to just uninstall the market using titanium backup and reboot then install market.

That is how I originally put current version on my phone. Was while on ICS don't know if that should matter. Before coming to jb it was working fine e though. Any other ideas???

Then I would do that again now that you are on JB

It shouldn't have mattered. But something isn't getting along with it. Did you try fix permissions and clearing phone cache? Idk other than that.

Wiped phone cache and that did not help. How do I fix permissions? I agree something is stopping the process, the phone starts to DL the app and stops immediately

Sorry for all of the dumb questions but does "ss" mean system settings? Can't find it there. I don't think you meant safestrap. Also what about doing a fdr, would that help?

I'm thinking a FDR may be your last choice. Luckily Root on JB popped up today.
