I use FoxFi also. It didn't work right the very first time i tried to use it after ICS, but then started working correctly after a reboot. Just takes a min or so to get past "Limited Connectivity".

Does it normally take a few mins to get past "Limited connectivity" or was only the first time you used app?

It is windows 7 (if you have it) that needs that time to identify the network and label it (home, public etc.). During this period there is no internet connection because the ip address obtained via DHCP is not yet assigned to the network card. The message during this process is "limited connectivity". In this specific case it is only a delay and not a malfunction per say.
Yes it should be only 1st time as long as you don't change in the future encryption type, SSID name or wireless key in the hotspot settings.

just FYI if you used sqlite to modify the registry value in GB before you updated to ics, you dont need to do anything after the upgrade to ics....the upgrade doesnt change the value back to 1....so you could even lose root during the upgrade to ics, but the hotspot hack would still work.

crazy that moto designed this with such little security, but verizon ultimately fixed the issue when they eliminated unlimited data plans...which is also why they give away hotspot for free now....they want you to use more data now so they can charge you more.

glad i am still on the unlimited data plan for now though
