I

Soooooo, don't flash custom ROM's, it's development, I don't think any ROM is listed as "stable" (except Xenon, which was copied from the og xenon thread) so you should expect bugs. No need to stand on the soapbox and rant about development. And personally I think we have top quality custom ROM's considering the work that goes into them.

I don't any more.  I finally made the call yesterday to just put my phone back to stock, as that is the only way that everything will actually work.

Nexus phones seem much better when it comes to custom stuff.  I mean even now, CM10.1 is full of bugs and missing features, and everyone is so eager to jump on CM10.2 which will be even worse.  In this mad rush to have the latest and greatest for bragging rights, quality suffers.

Most of these ROMs are Alpha or early beta at best.  Didn't used to be that way...

i dont know how you can say that.  the only bug is that BT doesnt work.  EVERYTHING else works as far as i know.  cm10.1 and 10.2 are nearly identical.  the only remaining bug would be battery life and from what i understand that is because we do not have 4.2 officially yet and therefore no 3.4 kernel just yet.

Battery life

BT issues

HDMI not working for half the people out there

Random reboots, freezes, bootloops

Flashing blue screens for others.

Because it is AOSP, no more visual voicemail for those of us paying for it

Signal strength issues for many folks

A lot of people experiencing audio issues, sound stopping working requiring reboots and fixing permissions, only to break again...

We can debate it all day long, it doesn't really matter.  I just finally got tired of dealing with it and I wanted everything to just work.  I can make it look as pretty as CM or any ROM out there with an alternate launcher.

Problem solved.  :-)

People with those issues you have are their own fault

Only thing I have to say about this is why would you pay for visual voice mail when you can have googlevoice for free?

Also do people actually use HDMI on their phone? What do you have on your phone that you can't project on your pc connected to your tv?

A gazillion photos, movies on the 64GB SC card, movies I take with the phone, YouTube, Netflix, etc...  Sure, if I want to carry my PC around with me I guess I can do that, but I can have my phone in my pocket and plug into any monitor or TV screen and watch Netflix or show videos or whatever...  It's a nice feature to have when you need it.

Question, does anyone know of any hex codes for colors for the led flash on notifications? I can't seem to find any that work.

A lot of hex codes will only work when there's no flash. Try it out. If you use an app like LED manager or whatever it's called, it will only show the colors you set if you change the flash rate to 0. Weird. Not sure if that can be fixed.

I'll give that a try for sure. If I find any that I can get working I'll be sure to post them

I got a cool cyan color code that works without having to change any of the other notification light settings. Its code is 00FFFF

EDIT: I did some more digging and found the answer for the led color codes in this thread. A few posts down there is a list of working codes thanks to LunaticSerenade

FYI -- Skrilax CM10.1 8/3/2013 nightly build seems solid to me.  BT works completely as it should with phone and music, BT Pairs with Wi-Fi on or off.  GPS indicator in status bar disappears when GPS is not in use.  Voice search is good.  No hangs/reboots/lag.  Coupled with Crossbreeder MOD 7/2 and Nova Launcher and it is quite solid, fast, and smooth.  Sitting pat on this one for a bit.   :D

I'm going to give this one a try tonight as I've been having issues with DPS manager only working on every other song that I play through the google play music app.

I was of the stay stock mindset after flashing my brains out on my droidX. Got my XT926 in January and just had it rooted. I was all happy unti the last update turned my phone into a reboot machine. Because I didn't unlock my boot loader I was stuck. Got a warranty phone and first thing I did was unlock boot loader. Installed the 8/4 CM 10.1 nightly. Holy crap is it faster and smoother than stock. I've had no issues and excellent battery life, easily as good as stock, but I think it's better. Only thing I don't like is the 4:3 camera picture display but a camera from the market fixes that. I agree that I would not want to run a rom that is buggy.

Even on the 2013-06-18 nightly that I've been running, I get about 1.5 day battery life with semi-frequent use and no issues that I couldn't fix with a liberal application of Google. I'm looking forward to checking out the official 10.2 nightlies, but I don't want to get my hopes up. Sent from my XT926 using Tapatalk 4
