Sorry to ask a n00b question, but I'm hoping someone can help me out. I was attempting to try CM10 for the first time (coming from Rage HD 1.2 on the 4.1.2 kernel). I rebooted into TWRP, performed a backup, mounted system, wiped cache, dalvik cache, and system, queued the lastest version of the n38 kernel, 7/3 nightly of skrilax's build of CM 10, google apps zip, and flashed. Everything appeared to flash correctly in TWRP, but now I'm stuck looping on the CM boot screen. What did I do wrong?

don't mount system.

and you want the kernel after the rom or the rom will overwrite the custom kernel.

Since you are changing system levels, I would flash the rom and gapps, boot, let settle, then flash the kernel.

If you are feeling lucky, flash the rom and gapps, reboot into recovery, then flash the kernel.

Good luck.

I performed a recovery to get out of the boot screen and then wiped, installed skrilax's latest CM10 and gapps.......still getting the same result :/ . I did NOT mount system. Any other ideas? I think I'm going to download Dhacker's latest and see if that makes a difference.

Don't feel bad.sometimes people don't wipe data because they think it will wipe their personal data (which isn't the case anymore).

I want to get this out there in case anyone else ran into this issue. If your display sometimes rapidly flashes blue when you're at the home screen/launcher, go into developer options and disable hardware (HW) overlay. I'm not sure what effect this has on other device functionality, but it seems to get rid of the flicker.

Is anyone else still having bluetooth audio playback issues? I'm running Dhacker's latest nightly (7/9/13). Yes, I made sure to wipe before flashing. For some reason, my phone freezes anytime I try to play a song in Play Music or watch a youtube video while connected to my bluetooth speaker. I don't seem to have any issues making/receiving calls through bluetooth in my car. Any suggestions/fixes/ideas??

Anytime I turn my BT headset on my phone reboots and freezes. I think this is still an unsolved issue with all builds. I think it has something to do with the kernel not working properly.

I've noticed the same problem. It seems to be an issue in the .85 kernel.

Use bytecodes .84 which does the trick

Bummer......but I'm glad it is not just me. Thanks for the response. Anyone have a link for the .84 kernel? Its not listed on the DL page anymore.
