Also, I've noticed that if I enable SoC Thermal control in Trickster Mod on N8, I get an immediate freeze, then boot loop.

I just came from the razr and really miss that feature from dtrails kexec kernel on xda.

For OMAP you don't have to touch the display driver to get Gamma control and there are a wealth of commits to pull from GNex. On MSM you have to and there aren't any sysfs interfaces available for out driver. I'd have to port one and the ones I've looked at have tended to be quite different than ours. For msm8960 there aren't all that many devices that have gamma sysfs in the first place, 2 or 3 devices. Thought just hit me, I've only looked at stock based kernels. I might wanna look at CM based kernels as they tend to be a bit more vanilla lol I only realize these things when I think about it.

 

 

EDIT: For MSM you have to modify the video driver, the display driver and write the gamma. And nobody has our same driver setup and since I don't particularly care about Gamma Control that isn't worth the effort to me. Even the CM kernels I've looked at so far haven't had our same general msm driver setup.
