Hello Everyone,

I have been running the ICS leak since last Friday. It is awesome, but I was wondering how to kill apps when I exit. On GB the task manager had an auto-end list that would kill apps after 2 minutes.

Where can I go on the leak to stop apps from running after exit?

Or is it automatic now or something like that?

Android has always been sort of automatic, killing apps in the background as needed. On ICS you can tap menu/manage apps, then at the top tap on "running", from there you can tap on any app and stop it.

I also noticed that if you hold on the home key to bring up the task switcher you can swipe apps off the screen like is done with notifications. Does anyone know if this actually stops the app?

If you go into your settings menu & look under developer options there's a setting to destroy apps after your done using them.

So I have the destroy apps selected, but when I hold down home to switch apps(which thanks psyjohn I now know). There are still multiple things there. Anyone know why?

I think it works in conjunction with the settings for background processes (which is accessed from the same menu) & the way the os caches info.
The apps you see from the double home press are what you've most recently used, not necessarily what's still running. I think.
