OP, and all those concerned. I am not sure what happened but on behalf of DR, Andrew and myself. I apologize for this. I will check in to this and work to see that this does not happen again in the future. All members are important and have the same rights as anyone else. If you have a concern let me know. Thanks.

Wow, thanks P3Droid! I follow you on twitter lol.

That sucks. Your instructions are better than the new thread. Plus no credits were given in the new post. Sigh

I agree ... and fortunately I'd quickly done a copy-n-paste of those better instructions before the thread was removed ... to make room for a mod's own thread.

Any and all moderators that delete threads are supposed to send a PM to the poster immediately after deleting a thread explaining why. It seems someone did not follow protocol and for that I apologize.

I am not familiar at all with what happened, but I will stand behind my moderators. If it was a new leak then they were right to delete it. ANY leaks that are released on DR are extensively tested (meaning more than just installing and running it then throwing it up for everyone to download) to ensure that nothing gets put out that could potentially damage a phone. We have been working with the new leak for over 24 hours and it sounds like we were still in the process of testing it when the thread was posted.

But you still should nave been notified. I'll make sure everyone on the team fully understands the DR protocol to ensure things like this don't happen again

:-D :-D

I guess my confusion is why does DR feel they are the only ones capable of testing the leak to make sure its good and if it is fastbootable back? If a dev creates a new ROM does DR feel the need to test the custom Rom before allowing the dev to post for public use?

Just curious because there is no difference.

Im sorry... but I see it from both sides. They apologized for the failure to follow protocol. But if theyre protocol is to not allow leaks until they have tested them... thats that. The reason its different from a community dev rom is that community based roms are gonna replace files that can be overwritten by an rsd/fastboot... some of the leaks may not allow you to do the same! Which would leave you stuck off of the upgrade path. With so many new people(which ive personally noticed on this forum) some may not know that. So I see their precautions as a good measure to protect the end users. Please do not take what I say out of context about the new people. Everyone starts from somewhere and no one was born with an android in they're hand! Lol...

Specialist Hicks, I respect you man. We've spent plenty of time in chat trying to help guys out and I respect what you do. I no longer contribute to another Razrforum(s).com because of similar bullshit taking place over there. (they edited my thread to remove outside links to ones from within their forum even though the research didn't originate from there.) I feel you man, blow the fuck up!!! Dont let the man hold you back. And once again SPC Hicks, I thank you for serving our country, and that's all that matters.

Never said I went back to stock. That's why in my thread I said you "should be able to fastboot back." Then posted the warning at the top of the page that says you cannot fastboot back, yet.

It was already tested. I stated it all in my post. I tested RSD, Recovery, Nand backups/restores, regaining root. Everything.

What was the test you did using RSD?

Typo on my behalf, I never tested fastbooting, just using RSD to get back to .173 from the first leak.

DirtyDroidX said he fastbooted back 4 times when he was testing it. Yes other people have said they did too, I'm just waiting on confirmation before I remove the warning in the OP.
