Did you have voodoo root keeper installed? If so I would try the terminal method to restore root.

I have it installed and root was fine. Seems for somereason it broke after downloading these files which is stupid lol. Ill do the terminal emulator and see.

Now that's an odd one. Go into the Super User app and make sure all of the settings are ok. I did include that in my zip (which i probably didn't need to). If that doesnt work, try deleting superuser and re-downloading from the market.

Su was good. It doesnt show bootstrap ofcourse because of my su is now broke lol. It will get figured out today.

Did you try the terminal method. The reason I ask is because thats the same exact error I was getting but fixed via the terminal method. Though my error was after the first fresh install of .84 and not after flashing any mods.

I didn't do the terminal first but I got the deodex to work. I flashed the 1% after the deodex without a reboot first. That made my status bar go away so I reflashed the Deodex. I am going to reflash the 1% now to see if it will keep my bar. All is good now as for SU and the deodex.

I should have read more clearly this morning when I flashed it. Working well though, even though I have never really figured out what deodexing does lol.

That will definitely not work jimyv. This mod is for 84 only. Check out the other deodex/1% thread, that one was for 75 i believe.

Flashman, deodexing is what allows us to do things like the 1% mod and themeing. Without it, that would not be possible.

That is true, BUT you won't be COMPLETELY screwed. I've bricked a few times while trying to create other mods for this and you can use the 84/85 recovery method mentioned elsewhere on this site to get back up and running. As always, make a backup in CWM before doing ANYTHING.

EDIT: Also, i have that specifically mentioned in the OP for a reason

Hey, do all ics battery mods work with this leak??? That seems like the one from black widow...

No just the ones designed for this leak. All of the icons for the battery reside in a large package that contains a LOT of other files, a lot of which are specific to each build. So if you change one thing in it, a lot of other things are suddenly reliant on it. That's one of the things i really like about MIUI is that you can theme without really worrying about things like that.

StiK, the reason i created the deodex in the first place was so that people could start messing with themes and other mods for 84. Please feel free to modify and theme all you want. I would suggest just making a new thread in the Themes forum with it.
