how long should it take to optimize all apps on first boot? i flashed this + code kernel + gapps 15 minutes ago and it still hasn't moved past the X animation.

And it will need a path to work with GSM networks, it's compiled for the 907 not the 905.

I read the OP and it says wipe data is needed if coming from a diff aokp "major code release". Is today's release "major" or "minor"? Can I just flash and wipe caches? Also I'm about to install today's kernel but FYI the N34 kernel has been running great w yesterday's AOKP ROM for last 24 hours. Hats off! Update: installed N36, cleared caches. It actually seemed smoother however I got a random reboot and reverted to N34 for now. Keep up the great work and thank you! Also I also am getting "Optimizing Apps" on each reboot (as if I was clearing dalvik every time). Not a huge deal and not sure what's triggering it, just reporting it.

Everytime i flash a different rom i make sure i mount system, then advance wipe and wipe everything but the sd card. Then i format data/type yes. Then i mount install rom/gapps/byte kernel and have never had the optomizing at boot problem... Lol

Remember clean wipes no gripes!

I alsk found out that backed up apps from a different os for example 4.1.2 then restored on 4.2.2 doesnt work too well for some apps. Like chrome. It was buggonf out on me realy bad.  But a simple data wipe of the app fixed it. A data wipe also fixed 6 of my other app problems. But i went from xenonhd which is great but a little buggy to aviator which i liked but i felt it was missing stiff to aokp which ive always loved by its simplicity yet ability to do so much customization.

And i like bytes work and im glad hes got the same phone as me again cause i stand behind his work like the man at tiananmen square.

Great unofficial port. And sign me up for betas little bra.

This version of AOKP is also odexed for speed.  So that may cause issues when restoring backups.

Master Bytecode:  Is this still unstable and "force-closey" due to razrqcom issues?  I tried it when you 1st posted and received FC's from hell.  Even the default launcher would FC!   :o

Seems to be fixed on the latest CM10.1 Nightly 6/28 builds. Someone in your 'Code Kernel' thread said DHacker tweeted that he fixed the FC issue

The kernel is zipped up in the package with it and flashes with it. You could try Bytes kernel, but the kernel packaged in this ROM is the absolute latest from Hacker & company.
