file is .181 update....
It's the version you're supposed to come FROM, not the version you're going TO.

OMG! went to use droid razr utiity 1.6 to go back to .181 getting all kinds of error messages.. writing recovery INFOPreflash validation failure
can not load files\.bin
when it reboots goes into the new looking droid guy (ics) shows it installing . when it reboots shows the logo M dual core..but nothing happens,just goes to a blank screen..
Help me please...

Believe it or not, what happened is actually normal. That was just part of the process though, here's the rest of the steps that should get you back up and running: (these are actually the steps to get to .206 but i just replaced "206" with "210."
Step 1. Dl 210
Step 2. Fastboot 181.
Step 3. Fastboot the 210 boot.img with the Unstuck210 Tool
Step 4. Boot into recovery.
Step 5. Flash 210 from external sd card
Step 6. Boot up and enable usb debugging
How to root 210 if coming from 181 and lost root or didn't have it to start with.
Step 7. Boot into ap fastboot mode
Step 8 flash 85 boot.img
Step 9 boot using bp tools
Step 10 use ics root
Step 11 flash 210 boot.img
Step 12 profit

it's is going on 3am here.... and I'm desperate.. tried to do update in recovery and I get the sideload error 7 message.

By "boot.img" they mean running the "unstuck tool" and flashing the "kernel."

I kept getting the error too, maybe try to redownload is about the only thing I can think of. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, this is my first time going from leak to leak so I'm new to all this too.

Make sure to select the .210 boot.img not the .85 boot.img and THEN run the update in recovery. ALSO make sure after you fastboot back to .181 with all the errors, you let the android guy install stuff on the phone. (once utility says rebooting give the phone like 1 min. then android guy will appear) Once android guy goes away you can then force reboot into AP Fastboot mode and flash the .210
