So can we just sideload with stock recovery if comming from .209 and not rooted?

It's meant to install coming from .181 not any .20X system version

I'm on .181. I was just gonna go stock recovery and update that way. I can use ICS root if I use that route right?

Okay I hate to ask but I'm at my wits end. I tried following hicks instructions on page 2 of this thread and think I've run into a real problem. I used mats 1.6 utility to fastboot 181. I let it do its thing and when it went to reboot it stuck on the moto dual core screen. I tried to force reboot into ap fastboot menu to fast boot the 210 but I can't get the fastboot menu to come up.

**edit** Thanks to the ladies and gents in the chat room I got myself up and running again. If anyone else has this issue when the screen flashes while holding both volumes and power, quickly release all three buttons and hold them again.

Installing 210 if coming from another leak. If you're coming from .181 then just worry about rooting (instructions provided below).

Step 1. Dl 210
Step 2. Fastboot 181.
Step 3. Fastboot the 210 boot.img with the Unstuck210 Tool
Step 4. Boot into recovery.
Step 5. Flash 210 from external sd card
Step 6. Boot up and enable usb debugging

How to root 210 if coming from 181 and lost root or didn't have it to start with.

Step 7. Boot into ap fastboot mode
Step 8 flash 85 boot.img
Step 9 boot using bp tools
Step 10 use ics root
Step 11 flash 210 boot.img

Step 12 profit

Is someone willing to try the new ICS root? Would be nice to avoid kernel flashing.

Anyone else confirm that flash video is working? That's just about the only reason I'm looking to jumping to 210 from 209.

If you are on .181
1) Download the two files and put it on your sdcard.
2) Use ES File Manager to place the files on /cache NOT /system/cache
3) Click the file Blur_Version.6.12.181.XT912.Verizon.en.US.zip and open with Rom Manager.
4) It will reboot and update.

Should work either way but I would delete the (1) on the end just because of OCD.

I was just asking because I know you can install in normal recovery if you're not worried about keeping root

If you were on an ICS leak before fastbooting 181 it won't boot up. that's the point. if you were on 181 that is a different issue. read the thread for 206/209 for detailed instructions.

Or you can do what I did and just use the Unstuck210 Tool to flash the .210 kernel :)
