Flash gapps like any normal flash able zip.....
I did that, and it said it failed when i tried to flash it.
SafeStrap>Install>Gapps.zip>Flash>"failed"

Well you can extract the zip and push them to /system/app and /system/framework (respectively) via adb or copy / paste them to the proper place(s) with a root explorer.....
Is there anyway to extract it from the phone, and move it? Or would i need to do that from my computer? (When i plug my phone into my computer my computer doesn't recognize the phone, nor does the phone unmount the sd/internal storage--so its not that the computer can't see it, the phone just isn't mounting)

Ok, and when you say push them to "/system/app and /system/framework" what does resptively mean? I.e. what are the 2 things i'm moving, or do you just mean move it to system/app, and then move another copy to system/framework?

you will see that some of them go to /system/app and some go to /system/framework ....
Hmm?
The contents of the unzipped folder:
Meta-INF
Optional
System
install-optional.sh

To clarify, i didn't unzip it on the phone. I forgot that when i put gapps on the memory card i put both a zipped and unzipped version. (also, i don't see an option to unzip anyway)

Well, it was just being stubborn so i restored it back to Jelly Bean.
I guess i'll try it one more time...is there any better way to do it?
The way i'm planning on doing it:
1) Run Droid Razr Utility and Root it.
2) Run SafeStep.apk (from the phone) and install it.
3) Boot to safestep, select Rom-Slot 1, and flash CM (maybe Stable build this time)
4) Try to Flash Gapps.

You shouldn't have to use the utility to go back to stock...... you have safestrap installed right? .... just delete the ROM slot and re create it..... flash ROM
"... try not, do! or do not! there is no try..."
Except i accidentally flashed cm in the stock rom.

Is there any reason to create a backup? I mean, if i ever need to get back to jelly bean i can always just restore and wipe all the data through droid razr utility.

Well, everything seems to be working fine, although wifi is being stupid (probably will be fixed as soon as i reboot).

Not sure what rom you are running, but you can try and run wifical.sh in Terminal app

If you have wifi problems install terminal emulator, and open it. Type su, then press the enter key on your keyboard app. If you're prompted by your superuser app, allow it. Then type wifical.sh . Reboot your phone and hopefully that will take care of it.
