Sorry but i got to ask you guys, does this roms really smooth?

i've tried all kitkat roms including this one but my phone was really slow, even flappy birds is flying in slow motion mode

and in phone mode, i can't press *888# to check my account balance (in my country, we use *388# or *888# to check it or to register internet)

1. root -> done

2. unlock -> done

3. flash latest recovery (cwm) -> done

4. clear data, cache, dalvik cache (3x) -> done

5. install zip (success) -> done

6. install Gaps (success) -> done

7. reboot and enter new roms -> done

am i missing something here? sorry for the noob questions, but i'd really appreciate if someone could help me with these

Are you on GSM network?

On unified builds with GSM I have something like can't press *888# to check my account balance

 For now you can use Beanstalk or Vanir/Commotio (it`s newest nonunified ROMs on 4.4.) + GMS fix (you can find it

What do you mean "slow"? Did you try to change animations speed on developer options?

What recovery do you use?

You can try Philzz CWM and also make wipe system before flash ROM.

P.S. GSM-fix don`t work with unified ROMs... yet

I'm talkin about a really slow phone, it's like i'm still on eclair with 600Mhz single processor and 256mb ram

Like i told you before, even flappy bird runs so slow it's like in a slow motion replay

And yes i did try to set the animations speed but it's not working

I'm using the latest CWM 6.0.4.4 for xt907

I didn't have wifi issues but i couldn't send MMS. Only way i found to fix it was to flash back to stock using RSD lite and start over. No issues now. Maybe this will work for you too.

His kernel is based on 4.1.2 though..is there anything out there more up to date for the KitKat?

He has a kernel designed for stock ROMs, but he also has one for the most current CM based ROMs.

I'm having a problem with the screen brightness. Sometimes I unlock and I can't see anything its so dim. So I took auto brightness off and it still stays dim. I have to unlock relock and unlock before u can see it

Sent from my unknown using Tapatalk

This is the same/only problem I am having with this rom.  I mainly notice it when I finish a phone call, the screen doesn't go to full brightness when I remove from my ear, the buttuns are so dim, I can't see the hang up button...sensor issue i guess.  Is this a bug, or just a simple setting somewhere that I can't seem to find?  I am running the current stable version (12-27).  I haven't tried any nightlies yet. Maybe I'll try that next.
