This one that you posted?
No use
Utility. You can root and also unlock your bootloader

If you are on 98-16-3 then use the original moto chopper for root and unlock that thing with motopocalypse before you update! Then root will never be an issue. Sent From My DEV X
I thought .3 and .78 were the same update but with a different version #? If that's the case, he'll need to use your Motochopper 1.3.

No it's the .16 which goes to .18 or .20(which are the same). The .16 is still before the update that killed the BL unlock

Alright, but I could've sworn I've seen people try to unlock .3 and it failed for the same reason as .78. I thought I saw somewhere that they were the same updates but the version number was different depending on whether or not people took the previous soak vs. the actual OTA. I might be getting versions mixed up, though.

Yeah those people had already updated and tried to flash back and unlock. You are right about the 2 versions but it was .16 ->.19 -> .20(soak or MR4) and .16 -> .18 OTA/MR2

I didn't think the whole BL thing was an option anymore? Or is it still an option for my version?
As long as you have never taken the OTA up to .18 or .20 then your version .16 "should" unlock...
