Okay, Will this erase anything or require a system restore?
It's only a root exploit, but you might have to clear cache/dalvik and possibly FDR to get it to work. When I initially rooted, I had to FDR to get it to work.

if you read that thread it gives you a link to download the proper one for XT907. but also explains that your ability to unlock is gone.This root?

Im alright with that honestly. The BL isn't necessarily a must have. and since the utility unlocking the BL isn't working. I might as well at least have root access.

I attempted the first root over. it failed and gave reason "already installed". anyone have this happen to them before?
