You would have to decompile via baksmali. The classes.dex is the heart of it! Thats where all of the code resides but it must be decompiled to modify anything.

On a side note: on an odex rom the classes.dex is the same thing as each odex file. Odex basically means "optimized" dex. The difference is odex is preloaded into cache during first boot for a "smoother" running system.

ok, so I can use apk tool to decompile the services jar? I didn't realize it worked on jar files also. So from there the smali files are like .java files? Interesting. I guess this android/dalvik stuff is a lot like Java...but still different enough to aggravate me.

No, you don't use apk tool to decompile services.jar. you need to extract the classes.dex within services and decompile that with baksmali like EmericanX said.

Apktool will decompile the classes.dex file and produce smali folders for u. Just like it did for me. Thank you though anyway, wulf!

Apktool will decompile the classes.dex file and produce small folders for u. Just like it did for me. Thank you though anyway, so wulf!

Ok.

I went a different route. As long as the end result is the same its all that matters.

Dude, this mod is awesome! I'm not sure if anybody has said this yet, but someone on the Droid Forums discovered that this mod will work on Droid 4 too!! :D

I flashed the Stock 211 Deodexed version of this mod over a stock deodexed ROM on my Droid 4, and it works great!!! It's great to finally have a 1% battery mod on my phone. The link to the ROM is below. Thanks!

Could you update the Eclipse battery mod (with stock 3g/4g icons) please?
I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks
