I'm gonna tell you all what I tell my friends. Go to Swappa.com to buy phones. Verizon's a rip off and on Swappa it's a guarantee that the devices are like new. I've bought three off of that site already.

Where did you get your phone? I have never heard of getting a used phone and being able to get insurance on it. Granted I have never used Swappa and just heard about it a few weeks ago.... thanks in advance.

I have all but 2 of my phones from swappa/ ebay r the likes all have full vzw insurance. They have always put it right on there. Although i have never activated a new phone in store. I always do online. And yes i actually had to file a (LEGIT) claim this year on one of these phones and they completely honored it.

I have 2 "ghost lines" I used to get upgrades. One ghost line is almost a year old. Verizon is not going to audit that kind of stuff. Plus Verizon employees will do it all at the same time in the store.Historically they have audited lines a month or so down the road to remedy this.
Reference example: people using workaround to get unlim data via adding tethering. - They went back months later and fixed it.
Fair warning
