Give Blurry 2.2 a try if you want a blur based Rom. That and Aviator are still getting updated. Cm 11 runs ok. The only major problem is the camera on the latest nightlies. This can be overcome by pulling the camera from the 12/22 nightly and installing it on the latest, or by using Camera Zoom FX from the playstore. Battery on the CM nightlies is quite good now, almost on a par with the blur roms. I use hotplug as my governor, and deadline as my scheduler on CM and Aviator. On blurry I use the default governor and deadline. Seems to give the best battery for me.

Thanks.  When u mention camera issue, is it on the Aviator or the Blurry gummy Rom, or both CM having issue, too?  I am getting confused with mention of these Choices:-)  Would just like the most stable of each of them.  I had been using CM 10.2 abd it is a bit buggy. Not to happy with it. As a matter of fact, it is still in Slot 1 on my xt912.  Switched to old Nexus to try KitKat, and it's a bit buggy too.  So, now decided to give xt912 another go using their Kitkat.:-)

Blurry is always going to be more stable as it is based on the stock Moto Blur rom. If you are looking for "Everything works" stable rom then Blurry is the best choice of the 2. Although I believe Aviator make a 4.1.2 Blur version too but you asked about the 4.4. KK version.

Cool, so Blur is the one u recommend for stability.  Does that mean that there are problems with Aviator?

Confused because is Blurry from the link you provided providing updates?

KK version on Aviator & CM is Awesome...
Some Updates with KK are more interesting than others

Recommend either as a Daily Drive...

Blurry has the KK theme... Plus it is as Stable as it gets... Awesome ROM too....

All around if your looking for a good, stable, smooth, and advance ROM, than Aviator CM 11 Kitkat is the one you need to flash. Like I said it's an AMAZING ROM and it won't dissapoint you.

CM 10.2 for me rattled my System for Performance and to many glitches with lots of tweaking to keep it Stable...But good to see the Pros and Cons with performance

CM 11 is the New Stud in Town...

Thanks, now if possible can u send links to these 2 Roms.  I dont want to make mistake of flashing wrong Rom.  Am I correct to assume the AviatorKitKat is a CM11 Rom?

Here is Aviator CM:

That page has CM10.1.2 and CM11. You'll find the two different builds in the "Download" section. Aviator Kitkat is CM11 which is android 4.4.

You can find links to the different Aviator builds at the top of the OP. Just click the picture. Have you tried Aviator Gummy? (

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

). This was perhaps my favorite android 4.4 base. There is a build that I made today in one of the very last posts. This has a few added extras that might be worth looking into. I haven't added it into the OP yet since I haven't had a chance to flash it myself since I don't have my XT912 on me at the moment. But it might be worth trying out if you've got nothing else to do! :p

Wll tried to load Aviator KK to Safestrap Slot 1.

Delete and did all wipes and reboots for existing slot 1 (removal process to delete former rom)

Installed Rom and got FAILURE.

Once again went thru wipe process, and deletion just to be sure.

Still no luck.

Now in process of trying everything all over again because when I do FS on SS file system seems OK.  I have now lessened the partition.  Let's see if  that works.

Any ideas?

What version of safestrap? You need to be on either 3.63 or 3.65.

I tried to install it to Slot 1 and then to Slot 2, after upgrading SS.

It seems that there is an issue with the MD5 -no MD5 file found!

Unable to verify zip signature... E:Zip signature verification failed: 1'error flashing zip ---aviator_cm11  (path)

Also tried  fixing permissions-it also  fails.

Any help is appreciated.

The no md5 error is normal-there is no md5 file with the Rom. As for the other error, turn off signature verification in SS options, and it will flash correctly.

Make sure your on SS 3.65 cuz if its usually any other SS I won't work. It worked fine for me on SS v3.65. Just make sure if you did upgrade to a different SS u did right.

When you find the ROM you like and still want to try out other ROMs do what I did. I made a backup of my favorite ROM (BloodRAGE) made a backup, create a slot 4, restore your backup to it then use slot 1 for ROMs you want to try.
