I made this boot animation to complement my Red Widow theme.
It is my first one and would not have been possible without the help of JaeKar99. Be sure to check out his boot animations.

Instructions:
1. Download theme here

or here

2. Move to sd card
3. Using ES File Explorer/root browser go to system > media > rename bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip.bak
4. Now using your file explorer go to the sd card you saved the new boot animation to and copy it to system > media
5. Set permissions to rw- r-- r--
6. Reboot

NOTE: Actual boot animation is smoother and faster than the gif below shows.

Thanks. I'm looking forward to playing around and making another one. I'm not sure if it is my laptop, photobucket, or the forum, but one of them is butchering the gif compared to it on my computer or opened in its own tab.

Looks great, there is a few sites for making gifs and you get set the FPS to be the same as the boot animation. Wouldn't be a bad idea to go Google some more on em! Love the look/animation must have taken forever!

Really not as bad as you would think. I basically just made a video in Sony Vegas Pro then rendered as a image sequence. Only had to find which image needed to start the loop after that.

Check the permissions on it. With root browser or es file explorer long press on it and make sure the permissions are set to rw- r-- r--

I'll load it back on to my phone tonight to make sure it works on mine with no problems.

working on this. Found a little problem last night. You need to set permissions on it to use it.

Updated the boot animation bc I found it wouldn't work correctly when I switched to BW AOKP rom.

Did you set permissions before or after you put it in /system/media ?

I just downloaded it and it worked fine on the rom I am using now. What are the steps you took exactly?
