May have posted in wrong forum,if so please move it. Have not been here very much. Ok , I am thoroughly confused as to what just happened. I own a stock, never been Rooted, plain as day Droid Razr Maxx (XT912). I got notice of an update which was a surprise to me because the phone is older. Update was (19.5.3.en.US) I have a screenshot, I am positive on the numbers. Anyway, I ran the update, it took a while to download, (big file), I installed it and now my Android version is still 4.1.2, Build number is 9.8.2.O-72_VZW-16-5 and my Build date is Thu Nov 21 14:10:17 CST 2013. I wish I had taken down the previous version numbers before the update just for grins and giggles.
Did I miss something here, was this some kind of security update? If it was why was it the same File Number as everyone elses? Is this a pre-cursor to another file or did I receive it by mistake? If I am to get a second file which I don't believe I will it should have a different file name right? If anyone can point me towards some good info on my situation please do. I would appreciate it. Still scratching my head . P.S. Nothing UI has changed that I can find either.
