Prepare to be ticked
Stupid move by moto. Im not going to go out and buy a razr hd to just be able to unlock a bootloader. They should release this for all devices like htc did.

That's only works outside the US and never on verizon or lte.

Motorola could unlock their phones as well but at the cost of lost marketing by Verizon. Do you wonder why Verizon markets Motorola phones like crazy but not others?then explain the verizon htc's? They can unlock. I bet the razr hd will be able to as well.

I'm guessing this is the answer to it all. When you think about it, the vast majority of ads you see from Verizon are for Moto phones. My guess is that Moto can unlock them if they want but at the cost of losing the free advertising that Verizon does for them. Seems to be the only answer when you look at the other companies that allow unlocks and Moto who doesn't. It would explain Verizon saying they aren't stopping them and Moto saying Verizon won't allow it.Motorola could unlock their phones as well but at the cost of lost marketing by Verizon. Do you wonder why Verizon markets Motorola phones like crazy but not others?
