I was thinking that development for the razr was going to start slowing down (as it had), and then this news happens. I'm so excited for the future of kexec.

Kernels and ROMs need to be compatible with each other. Until we have a base of other compatible ROMs there would be no point. That getting said, if you check out the zips already available you could grab just the kernel if you really wanted.

Running smooth. I had some data issues after I installed but it works great after a couple reboots.

Don't let your phone go dead - Mine doesn't want to charge off USB->Computer now. Its been on there for over an hour and it won't charge - Hoping I can get it to charge on the wall charger.

This isn't a rom specific issue. If you let your phone go dead dead USB doesn't have the juice to get it going. That happens to me on a stock rom, gotta use the wall charger.

So far this is working really well for me. No issues after over an hour.

I'm going on 24 hours and this has been one of the best cm9 ROMs I've used.

I love it and its smoothness. But I've had to do about 5 resets since it randomly freezes. This hasn't happened to you?

What is the difference between cm9 based roms and blur based roms for the end user?

Less bloat, more general Android features with CM9. Webtop/HDMI/SmartActions with Blur. Blur is fat more compatible with the stock kernel. Until Kexec has a chance too mature a but more CM9 is likely to be more buggy.

CM9 based is faster and has more customization. There are some more bugs though

I think my freeze/reboot issues were due to low ram. I looked and I was dropping below 80 MB at times and never got above high 80's. I used v6 supercharger and its doing better.

The first few hours I had this rom installed were buttery smooth and fast. But then all of a sudden, I was at work yesterday and websites wouldn't load even though I'm in an LTE saturated area, my browser would FC, and I had random reboots. It didn't make it past the initial black screen at reboot a couple times. I'm going to flash it and give it another shot today.

Any body have these problems?

I've been having the deep sleep issue. Sometimes will freeze at boot up but I just do the hard power off and boot it up again. Battery drain is pretty bad though, other than that great rom!

Sounds like it's possible the bugs in the rom we're running into are mostly related to memory usage. I wonder what can be done to ameliorate that.

I got rid of V6 because after while a message about min free values not matching up kept popping up every minute or 2.
