So both the volume up and down buttons are not responding on my Razr Maxx. They were sporadically not working for about 2 weeks before I lost all functionality. Now I can't use Recovery to try to wipe/flash/etc. since the volume buttons aren't responding.

I'm getting ready to fastboot back to stock using Matt's Utility using an app called "Quick boot" from the play store (which is a total godsend that an app can send me directly to AP fastboot), but I wanted to check if there was any other way that someone knew of to troubleshoot and/or fix the issue of the volume keys not working?

FYI - Rooted, Custom ROM (4.0.4/CM9 based), Safestrap 2.0, Razr Utility 1.81, on a Razr Maxx.
