VZW refurbished are bad. My friends have been through the same thing. Sprints are bad to. Im not say all are junk like labtops etc but the cell phones not good idea unless u get a good one. Ill have my new one friday afternoon can't wait. If u keep on them u get what u want.

Having spent 2 years of my life working for them I know their tricks. Glad I don't work there any more LOL. I always hated having to ask did I resolve your concerns when u know damn well u didn't.

Well i had took the advice from RickW and it work keep on them. I had 6 of these maxx. This one is awesome so far. No signal problems at all. Every thing works like it should. Just keep on them but what help me my new one was bought Aug 20 2012 so month and a half of 6 pre junk....that was in my favor also of a lawsuit.

When you originally set the first phone back, did you fastboot? I might send mine in, but they shouldn't be able to detect if it has been rooted, right? (They want to do a live diagnostic test or something)

If ur rooted take it back to stock and clean all files out also they wont accept it back charge you full price.

Will fastbooting simply work? All the related root files should be on the sd card?

It should as long everything on the sd card. If the see it external they wont take it back..make sure its clean set back to 211 stock version of ICS

they know if phone has been rooted by the codes in it,you can't hide that,but they can't deny you a replacement unless they can prove that rooting caused it,which they can't

Alright thank you. I've already fastbooted, so hopefully i'm good when they do the live diagnostic. Even if they discover it was rooted they probably wouldn't charge me, right? It's a battery issue... they're trying to tell me that 9 hours of moderate use is average. :/

Just like my buddy Rick said no....cause they would have to prove it...it caused the battery go bad...

I guess I was lucky, after the first gb update my phone wouldn't boot back up, took it to Verizon, told them what happened and they pulled one out of the box for me. This was about a month after original release though.

Yes u was lucky just shows they can do it if they want to. I think the policy needs to be changed like 90 days or something or even 30 days just saying.. but yes u was lucky to get a new one that quick u could got a refurbished one lol
