Been trying to get the ota but still says im up to date on bone stock 905

Do you have a recovery installed? If you do get rid of it and try again...or do a HoB and when you are done and at the stock recovery, hit factory reset and wipe cache. Once booted check again before rooting. Or just do HoB to 246 seeing as they are the same file...

I had fxzed back to 902 and took the 905 update. Been sitting completely stock. Not even rooted.

Same here... I keep checking every 30 min or so :) But still no ICS. I should have waited a week and then fxzed back so I would not have to be stuck on GB for the weekend. If I don't get it soon I am just going to by pass the OTA and go with HoB. I just wanted to have the OTA as my safe ROM and was hoping to just receive it OTA.

This waiting is getting old though!

Is that download the OTA 246? WIll it keep all data like the OTA? or do I have to wipe everything to install it?

Does the ota still overclock by default?

If you're referring to how some phones get bumped to 1.2 GHz the answer is yes. Though it's hard to know if your phone will yield 1 or 1.2 GHz until after it's updated.

Thanks I was wondering if they would cut that out since some phones aren't overclocked. Now that it's the official ota a case could be made by people that can't be overclocked that they should be able to trade in their Bionics for a phone that can be overclocked. After all they paid the same money, they should have the same product.

If you are on 905, you just put the zip on your ext sd card and boot into factory recovery and install from sd card. It does NOT wipe your data. But you should clearing the cache after you upgrade. Or you can just use the HoB. Just make sure you read the FAQs.

Thanks. I got tired of waiting for the OTA so I went ahead and everything looks good. The only issue I am having is not being able to turn LTE off. Is this an issue with ICS? I had the same problem on the previous leak I was on.

Yeah, on this ICS release you can no longer toggle off LTE via menus. You can still do it w/some apps. Overall though the radio performance on this release is vastly improved.

There was mention of a few on the moot threads. Personally I've never needed to disable it. Really all you need to do is to dial: (Via HoB FAQ):
Q: How do I disable 4G? It's grayed out in the menu!
A: Try this: *#*#4636#*#* from the dialer

Phone Info from the Market works well, much better than trying to remember that infernal dialer combination!

Haven't tested LTE OnOff that they originally put out for the thunderbolt but it may work.
