I use to use swiftkey but its a memory hog IMO. Using thumb keyboard ATM on my bionic maybe not as good on predictions as swiftkey but it only using 12 megs compared to I think 30 to 80 was what swiftkey was using. If I had a phone with 2gigs of ram I'd switch back to swiftkey though.

It's not that big of a memory hog :P I rarely have to worry about memory issues with this phone. I used to have an LG Ally and that thing was running out of memory all the time. haha

Thumb Keyboard usually. Fully customizable. Layouts(incl some shorter than mine:p), backgrounds, fontsize and colors. Spelling corrections are not awesome though and no text prediction if you need that.

Now that SwiftKey Flow will come out sometime soon, it will demolish most other keyboards..especially Swype. I can't wait to try it out.

i was a hardcore swype user for the longest time. the version that came preinstalled on the bionic works well, but the newer beta versions are frustrating the hell out of me. i will attempt to do a simple word like to or us and it will instead give me a word that included every letter that i even came close to touching. edit: remembered what really bugs me with the new beta swype is that the prediction words are nowhere close to what they used to be. i used to be able to barely outline the word and it would get it correct 80-90% of the time, now its the inverse of that, i have to pay more attention to where i am swyping than if i am tapping the letters.

so i've been recently been switching between swiftkey 3 and swype beta 1.3, i'll get frustrated using one and go to the other. i'm so glad that we have choices

Oh $#!7, my bad... I thought I remembered reading release notes, but it was just the feature request starting to get worked on. Wishful thinking I guess :-)

today, from the LG Nexus 4 system dump ... it's awesome. Sort of a cross between Swiftkey (prediction) and Swype. Very cool. It can be flashed from CWM recovery. I don't recommend flashing the 4.2 clock app on that page though -- it has FC issues on the Bionic.

I must say, it's interesting how one keyboard will work perfectly for somebody, but someone else has a completely different experience with it! I tried the 4.2 keyboard and i couldn't stand it lol, Imo the 4.1 keyboard is miles ahead of the 4.2 keyboard. :P but that's just me, of all they keyboards I've tried that have been mentioned on this thread, Swiftkey 3 is by far my favorite. I can type faster with it than any of the other keyboards and I feel that the predictions are much better than the others. I'm glad with Android we have options. We can all tailor our experiences to ourselves! That is the main reason I stay away from Apple products :P that and Android is sexy as fuuuuu :D

so agree with this. I was going out of my mind using latest Swype. text prediction brings up words no where near what I'm looking for and sometimes it's absolute gibberish. Swiftkey3 all the way.

+1 it's gotten so frustrating, I'm awaiting swiftkey flow. And I hate with a passion every keyboard I've tried other than Swype
