Id try using different ports or even a different computer. Possibly even a different usb cord. Not saying thats the problem but worth a shot

Try telling your pc to "take no action" (out turn off auto choice) when plugging the phone in. Or factory reset.

You should document what you did for others.

What did you do to get it working? I just got a warranty replacement, but I am stuck. I am enjoying the 1.2 GHz processor that I didn't have before.

I get stuck at *daemon started successfully*

Edit:

Factory reset fixed it.

Basically, it's all in SamuriHL's FAQ.

What finally made it work:

1. After installing HOB FXZ 246 "Keep Data" I had issues getting RSD to find my phone to Root using Razrs Edge Windows.
I also had the same issue with the OTA from 905 to Official 246.

2. Did a factory reset on phone through Settings>Privacy>Factory data reset

3. Installed the latest Motorola driver on PC.

4. Rebooted PC

5. Connected Phone to PC and put phone into USB MTP mode.
Verify that all the drivers install correctly on PC.

6. Leave phone plugged into PC and turn off phone.
Turn phone back on hold volumedown/Pwr buttons to get AP Fastboot mode.

7. Verify the PC installs the ADB driver. (I think this is what my issue was or it was the factory reset or both)

8. Reboot the phone and the PC.

9. Run Razrs Edge.

10. Your phone should now be rooted. :)
