this won't hurt but shouldn't be necessary, just note that you must be using a file explorer with root permissions

I'm using the duel boot method and I flashed the zip, what problem does it cause? Because everything is working fine right now.

I personally haven't had any issues but I haven't flashed it over JB yet either...if anybody is worried just follow the instructions in the OP to unzip and manually install

I am on a dual boot JB rom and manually copied the bootanimation and mp3 over and it is working fine. I think it is the best of the stock droid boot animations.

I installed this with no problems (ICS 4.0.4) and have sound during boot up! Good job. I also agree this would look cool if it was in ICS Blue!
