Tbh, maybe it is my mind playing tricks on me, but I feel like the lag has disappeared 100%, but maybe I am just typing slow due to lack of sleep.

folllowing this lead, I reinstalled lmt and the lag seems gone with that app too. I'll let that settle a bit, then I'll try the no-button fix to see if we can get back to the big screen. I really liked that setup - and if the lag is gone............ well what do ya think about that!

Let me know how it goes! I am curious to see if others can verify this.

Where did you come up with sFe? Never seen that one before..everyone has always used ss to abbreviate safe strap.

Prelim LMT report: no full screen yet.

Time to load from a home screen short cut is fastest: drudge, greader, twitter, dolphin.
Time to load from LMT row 2 short cuts, same program, a bit longer, but no where near what it was. I could be happy with this. In fact, if I don't clear the recent apps list, it is hard to tell the difference. The small lag is from a clean start, no recent app list.

Next test, full screen.

UPDATE: Full screen installed, no issues, working fine. The performance of LMT seems identical. A hair slower, but tolerable, especially when I keep the recent apps list full. I'll keep it this way for a bit and see if it changes.

ALSO - not sure why but the battery on this set up is off the charts (IMO). 12 hours since charge, 1.5 hours screen time, 30 mins of voice calls. and I'm at 82%. Seems like an improvement to me.

Yep, full screen seems to be no effect on speed. I'll give it a day to settle and see where it goes.

Ok folks, i did it with wWidow and with Fuzion, first i did back up both roms using safestrap, then activated the stock rom, deleted all the other slots, then uninstalled safestrap. then installed TWRP, mounted the system, clicked restore on TWRP and restored the backed up rom, it worked flawless

This procedure worked perfectly! Thanks a ton!

As a current note: I know it's only been a couple hours after backing up my ss roms, deleting ss, and restoring my fuzion/24v image via twrp, but lag has remarkably/mysteriously disappeared. Just speculating that perhaps lag issues had something to do with ss? Just an afterthought. I'll certainly post an update if lag issues return. Time to enjoy the freedom of an unlocked bootloader!!!

well one idea was always that in ss your not using the main memory your using the side memory (not sure the tech term :P ) i believe the memories are different kinds of memory but what do i know ;)

Hey guys Im unlocked rooted everything is good except I never took update Im still 4.1.1 How can I get to 4.1.2 without screwing up or do I need to? I think if 4.2 comes out you dont take an OTA anyway you just flash it in a rom. What are you guys on?

I don't think ss is the cause as I am still on ss but not seeing lag anymore.
