So I'm flashing various ROMs on my Razr M with Safestrap. However, everything is being written to internal memory and not my using my SD at all. It won't find anything on my SD (like a ROM zip or ANY of the folders). Even when I go into the file manager in Safestrap, it shows nothing on my SD. Bad download?

dont go to folder named /sd card... need to find the one named /external sd or go into storage/storage01 to find your .zip; and it is yet not possible flashing to external sd

I am going to storage-> sdcard01 and nothing is showing up. I can find all the stuff if I use Jrummy's root browser. I think I must have a bad download. I will use my computer to download it this time and reinstall it.

Thanks for clearing that fact I can't use the sdcard to flash yet. Thank you.

sdcard0/sdcard01 Are how jellybean sets up the new users I believe.
You want to look for /mnt/sd-ext/ or sdcard-ext something similar ( as long as moto hasn't changed how they name/mount sd cards.

So this is what it looks like when I go into the Root Exploder of ROM Toolbox.

Sdcard= internal storage

ss= internal storage

sdcard0= internal storage

sdcard1= sdcard

The only folder SS that shows any contents is sdcard.

yes it is not yet possible to flash on stock rom you have to create a romslot1 and flash there... my advise to you is do a factory reset and have the stock rom as empty as possible saves ram and space.. and flash whatever you want in romslot1 with 1GB. until hashcode work out the bugs or whatever is preventing us to flash in stock partition. and based on your pic.. you removable sd card is the one in /sorage/sdcard1 and that is where your backups will be.

Thank you all so much for your help.

I'm not trying to flash stock, but would like to use more than one slot in SS. So because the RAZR M only has 8 GB internal memory (before formatting) and all the data from flashing a ROM to slot one being on the internal memory, there is not enough left to create slot 2 let along flash a ROM in that position.

I can access my sdcard on the computer and in root browser but it is not accessible in SS. I downloaded SS straight to my phone and didn't check MD5 (I know, my bad). In the SS thread here in the RAZR M section, it says that that bug (not being able to access the sdcard if any ROM slot but stock) was fixed in the latest release. I know that is the one installed, and I'm not even able to access my sdcard in SS with the stock ROM as active.

I will do a factory reset and leave stock as empty and possible. I will also redownload SS and check MD5.

Went back to stock removed SS and reinstalled with a MD5SUM confirmed version and I'm able to access SDcard where the zips are.

Thanks again for all your help.
