ANYONE WANTING NAVIGATION KEYS.(soft keys) This down not disable hard key.
Get root explorer make sure your R/W, open build prop in text editor scroll down to bottom and add this
enter the following line...
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
As stated below 0 enables them and 1 disables them
0=enable
1=disable
Reboot, you will now have navigation keys, there will be no settings for them, but quick and easy if like to have them
I've been using this trick since ICS first came around. What I would love is a way to disable the capacitive keys.

Download adj brightness from the play store. That will keep the hardware buttons from lighting up.

I had the same issue. The fix is to disable it. Then goto play store and uninstall it. Then reinstall. This fixed it for me. Good luck.Yes, i definitely created a fresh Rom slot and wiped data just in case, What Gapps did you use? I flashed gapps4Batakang V3 in the OP. I'll try again with alpha 6. Thanks sk842018! That's awesome to know, love my soft keys. Do you know of any way to change their color?

Comment out the lines for the cap keys in /system/usr/keylayout/ where you find themI've been using this trick since ICS first came around. What I would love is a way to disable the capacitive keys.

On another note, I lost root when flashing the OTA because I did not realize the Binary was outdated. (Too excited. Bush League I know) Thanks to Matt's Restore Root utility, I am rooted once again and crackflashing. Thanks Matt for being so damn smart.

It says you have to have 3.07 installed but will 3.11 work as well? I noticed on another rom it said 3.07 and I got a black screen on boot when I tried installing it.
I've used 3.11 for flashing, and restoring both JB and ICS Roms most of the day. No issues at all. It's a great recovery :-)

I know that handcent has the option if you hit menu while in a conversation, also, different keyboards like swype have the mic iconQuestion is there a way to get speech to text in the text messaging app. I don't have the mic icon.
