I took the Jelly bean OS release on Christmas on my rooted Razr Maxx. All went perfect except this, and I haven't seen mentioned really.

I have drastically lost volume in my bluetooth on all music and radio apps, Google Navigation. and text to voice. Pretty much everything except call volume is reduced to almost nonexistant. Call volume is as it always was in the Bluetooth. Ni issue there. And generally seems "ok" through the speaker. Possibly a bit less than normal. But I never used it so maybe it's fine and normal.

Any thoughts? Did I miss this memo?

Thanks!

ok.... just a seemingly silly question..... have you gone to menu>system settings>sound>volumes .... and make sure all the sliders are moved to the right....?

Not a silly question, I'm sure some have missed that. But, yes, I've been there looking.... many times, lol..

Fairly savvy phone person. Been in Android since 2008. Crawled all over this phone looking. Wondering if I missed something somewhere though.

Seems to be OS related though. I saw a post somewhere that there is a hidden screen somewhere to adjust bluetooth or speaker or headset volumes (individually I believe) that is deep in the system and the adjustment is via a change of a numerical values. Still trying to find that again.

Sadly, that isn't it. Thank you though. It is somewhere through the setting menu I remember. Knew I should have bookmarked.... :-/ But it was for ICS, I figure it may be gone now...

Ahh, found the way to the screen. Not sure it will help, or even work on Jelly BEan.lol...

I hope its ok to post external links.... Nonetheless, Hopefully someone will chime in still, as I don't know if this will work. I'll try it when I'm more awake...

yes... for the most part, external links are ok... as long as they are not "dangerous", spam, illegal, etc and as long as they have revelant information about the topic......

I have this exact same problem with my Razr. Were you ever able to find a solution? I have searched the boards and have come up empty :(

After a hard reset of the phone suggested by Motorola tech, I found a way to do a hard reset of the THREE Jawbones I have, and THAT was the problem :( I have done the typical Jawbone reset and somewhere I found what was apparently a lower level reset that woke them all up.

Moto ALSO told me that many bluetooth units weren't ok with the new JB. Which is bunk IMO. They were also quite baffled that I had that OS on my Razr Maxx, lol... They were adamant I had Gingerbread, even though I explained it was sent the carrier on Christmas, lol.. They seemed oblivious to that.

So, in the end, not sure if I needed to reset the phone or not. But, it works now. And I just got the official Razr Maxx OTA upgrade a couple days ago. All went well.
