hey everyone, just ended up bricking my razr by flashing some stuff on my nonsafe side of safestrap and now im out a phone at the moment. i know that one of the last things you ask for here are eta's and i know the fastboot files will be out eventually but i guess what im asking is it a matter of motorola releasing them? or is it up to someone who builds them in their free time? just kind of stuck waiting until theyre released because you cannot fastboot back to ics from jb correct? thanks for the help

Grab Matt's unbrickxt912JB zip. Made just for this. Make sure you have the JB leak on your external sd card.

I would like to know where fast boot files come from. Are they leaked? Released? Can someone confirm

They're leaked and can be found on sbf developer's site. Google "sbf developers" and you should find it. There's also numerous posts on this forum with the links included as well.

No sir this is incorrect. He's talking about 912 JB fastboot files.

My bad, I thought that was on there. Sorry about that.

I knew he was talking about the 912, I thought I had seen that on their site, but I realized it was 4.0.4 after checking.

There's quite a few threads that either have the leaked JB update, or reference the thread link you can find it at.

If you attempt to flash back to ICS from JB, you brick. Simply reflashing JB won't fix it. This tool was created to solve that issue. Make sure you have the leak on your external, run the tool, then boot into recovery and apply the update :)

No prob =]

Whenever you reflash, successful or not, it deletes root. Use Dan's root exploit, RAZR BLADE, once you're back on JB.

How does one bork their non-safeside anyway? Flashing isn't permitted on the non-safeside

Didn't that change with ss 3.11?? I notice now on then stock slot that "install" is highlighted in red. I thought it was that way as a cautionary thing, I didn't remember that from 3.07

Must be a SS 3.XX thing, IDK. In SS 2.XX you couldn't flash to your nonsafe side. It was refused. You couldnt even theme. Thats why hash would release a flashable stock blur rom, so you could theme stock and still be able to flash.

Yeah the newest SS you can flash on stockside, don't really see why you would want to when you have all those other slots to flash on.
