I was running 175 yesterday but for me, I had at least 3 or 4 random data drops while on cdma only. I personally have not had a single drop on 173 or even 174 when I was on that leak. Back to 173 for me.

I was having another issue with 175 and thought it was an error in the build but now that I am back on 173 I realize it still does not work so it may just be my phone.

Yes but as my post said, I was on CDMA only and that radio was changed in 175. I am currently in a 3g only area. There may not be any known reason but that was my personal experience. 175 caused several data drops that I just could not stay on it. I have never had a data drop in 173 or 174.Just reporting the issue in case others have it too .

Running this with DT's Go Faster tweaks (updated the build.prop for 175), and it is running smooth so far.

If you swapped the props out, at the bottom of mine you will notice a section named #Go Faster. Copy that on the prop you're using. That's the good stuff.

just upgraded but I'm noticing really bad results on 3g speedtest.net.
Like 0.62 mps bad not sure if this is related to .175 or not but just happened to notice it after the upgrade

Well I downgraded via the windows utilty to .748 and upgraded back to .173 and still $#!+ty 3g speeds so its not the .175 upgrades fault.

1) Power off your phone.
2) Plug in the charger and start charging from a wall socket.
3) Let me know if you see the charging LED.

We had the charging LED when the phone was OFF and charging in 744 and 748, but the 173 update broke it. I'd like to know if 175 fixes it.

173 straight from VZW... Charging light is fine as is the Search function in the app drawer. Just saying. Fast booted to. 748 installed the OTA from Check Updates.

I also have 173 straight from Verizon, and the charging light is not fine. It's gone. I've never flashed any leaked ROMs. Several people on the Motorola forum report the same problem with 173 as I've experienced.

Can't restore root after .175.

I flashed back to .748, OTA'd to .173, then rooted using the Droid Razr Utility 1.3. Used Voodoo OTA RootKeeper to backup root. Installed .175. Now when I click "Restore root" in RootKeeper, it says that "root su restored" but nothing actually happens. The check-boxes don't check and my root-necessary apps will not run.

Any ideas?

Went back to the Razr Utility, realized motofail is for all 2.3.6. BOOM!

Interesting...my charge light does not work but the search button in app drawer does now. Last week after ota search did not work but today I had to fastboot back to 748 and ota again and now search in app drawer does work.

Now on 175--everything works fine including 3g and transitions to/from 4g. Search button crash is fixed. Charge light, however, is off. I didn't check this on 173 but I know it worked on 748.

There is a 176 out now. I think we'll see a few more of these incremental unofficial releases before the next OTA as we all report bugs in 173. I've been doing that on the Moto forum, as have others.

I wouldn't report bugs for an unreleased OS to Moto directly.

If you don't load the update for google search, it will not FC on 173. Have you not updated google search to the available market update? I'm pretty sure the FC even happens BEFORE 173 is installed with this update.

I can't get this to install, was pretty much stock, but have rsd'd twice and done the two ota's to 173, then tried again, still no-go.

Trying to install dhackers latest ics, which says 17x, but it won't boot for me on 173, thought I'd try 175, but can't make it happen. I factory reset, Rsd, skip all setup, ota 2x to 173, then try to instal via recovery per the instructions. Previous ics by dhackers have ran fine via safe strap, but the last few 17x ones won't. HELP!!
