this is just the /system/app and /system/framework directories, not a complete rom, so it has to be flashed over a base. i haven't seen a safestrap base by hashcode, just that system image of the jellybean leak. if there's any demand I'm sure I could make a full rom.
I could use that!

19 downloads and no feedback as to how it's working? Will wait til i get my phone and test stuff to make sure it works before releasing.

A full rom would be appreciated. Hopefully a zip file that also works for TWRP and not just safe strap.

hey all, have been on the site for awhile, mostly in the bionic section. so just picked up a razr m on ebay and have some catching up to do. i noticed a few people asking about deodexing and so here's a deodexed, signed, and zipaligned update.zip:
enjoy
*edit*
Here's a full stock 98.12.4 safestrap rom (odexed) that has NOT been tested by me (i don't have my phone yet):
feel free to test it out
if it does work, you can install the deodexed zip over the top of it.
standard disclaimer: blah blah brick, blah blah your fault not mine.
so im new to this whole rooting and flashing concept on my rooted Razr M. What exactly does that zip file do? Do we flash that on our STOCK ROM? I'm confused on what it will do. Please elaborate

Guys please DO NOT flash these zips. These are not Roms. The purpose of these are for Devs to make Roms and theme Roms. It was posted as a helpful head start for Devs.
Edit: If you are looking for Roms there are a bunch to choose from in the M Rom section.

Does no one read? The safe strap rom is a full stock rom that should work on a secondary partition; if it doesn't, let me know.
The deodexed zip is partial and can be flashed over either the primary or secondary partition. However, there's really no reason to run deodexed unless you want to tweak or theme the apks.
Thanks for clarifying man. I was just trying to steer people to the Rom thread unless they understand why the want a stock Deodex Rom for tweaking.

The problem is that every single ROM for the M has problems at the moment. I would much rather take these zips and tweak out a ROM myself. Thanks to Mhous for posting these up.Guys please DO NOT flash these zips. These are not Roms. The purpose of these are for Devs to make Roms and theme Roms. edit: it works, but not deodexed. Everything is running on it, though.
