So many unanswered questions. First thing that comes to mind for me, and maybe I'm oversimplifying, is if Luke disappears himself BC he feels guilty that kylo ren aka Ben solo was seduced to the dark side, why would he leave a map of where to find him?

Not sure he did. He had been searching for the lost temple himself. I suspect what they had was the map he used to find it. I'm going again tomorrow night to see it. I have a few fine points to look into.

I'm not sure about Rey understanding Wookie. I think she was surprised Han could understand the grunts.

As for Finn, I don't know.

I've seen it twice and that's barely enough.

Our prevailing theory is that Finn is a decendent of mace windu. As for Rey, people missed that she was in Jedi training as a kid and was hidden on jakku when kylo turned, to save her from being turned or executed like Luke's students. IIRC, there's a way to block memories. That's probably what happened to her to protect her.

No she doesn't. At least that's how it appears. But it explains how she picked up the force so quickly.

There is so much that Episode 8 will reveal to us im sure.  Just like Empire did back then.  TFA was really good but im not ready to call it the 2nd best of the franchise.  Probably 3rd in my book because I thought Episode 3 was very well done and meant so much to the franchise overall.

 

As far as JJ Abrams overall performance as director, he did very well, very very well.  Im not sure why he isnt doing 8 or 9 and only doing this one movie.  Maybe he'll go back to Star Trek now, LOL.

I've only watched 1 time..and although I've read a few "possible theories" , I've kinda just stuck with things that make sense to me with the 1 viewing. Snokes is plageus. He's been watching/pulling strings for over 50 years. End game? Not completely sure. Rey is a Skywalker. I think that she may have had early training but when Ben flipped, Luke tried to hide her from him as well as anyone else who could corrupt her. Her mother may have been a Jedi that was slaughtered by the knights of Ren. ( Expanded universe books named her Mara Jade who was an assassin for Palatine.. The emperors hand one of many who didn't know the others) The way she's shown early on is reminiscent of young Anakin with the podracing/ship flying. R2 had been in a power saving mode until Rey showed up. Coincidence? Ben is a pawn. He will turn to the light side of the force. He didn't want to kill Han..he felt he HAD to because of Snoke. If he doesn't turn, I think he may end up killing Luke with assistance from possibly Snoke. Finn...I'm not sure of. He seems to want to be good but seeing as the storm troopers are basically brain washed into service.. It may be a trap. Luke found the Jedi temple but it wasn't what he had hoped for. He's at a loss. Between the massacre by the knights of Ren , years of death/destruction with no real allies, he's alone and has no idea what to do. Ben is a lot like Luke in the fact that he is in the middle.. He can be good or bad...unlike most Jedi/ force users. Now.. Things I'd like to see them explain: How did Anakins/Luke's light saber get retrieved from Bespin. What exactly happened in the last 30 years that would deem having a Rebellion-Republic and a resistance. Was the resistance just the rebellions way of dealing with the New order indirectly. Why did Han/Leia "push" Ben to Luke..did Leia sense snoke? Why hasn't Leia trained to be a Jedi..it doesn't appear that she ever did. Is Rey like Anakin..created by Snoke? Reys vision. Were the knights on Endor looking for Vader's body..along with the Jedi who were massacred? Was there more to it besides simple killing? Again.. 1 viewing.. And I know that the expanded universe stuff isn't official but..it is something to draw from. A lot of "spoiler" sites say that Anakins ghost whether it be him or Vader were originally story boarded..which makes me go back to another story where the glove of Vader was used to give power to it's owner..so,who knows..maybe it's Vader's helmet..
