I tried to flash beanstalk rom on my xt907 and I am getting a status 7 error from twrp. I would use Matt's utility, but I am unable to get into fastboot.... When I hold power down and the volume keys it goes to the boot menu, but when I push volume down the curser doesn't move to fastboot. anybody know what to do????

Hold just vol down then press and release the power button. Should go directly to Fastboot

hold power and volume down until screen goes black, then you have a split second to press and hold power and the middle of volume up/down ( pressing both Vol up and down at the same time), this brings you to a menu to Normal Reboot,, Recovery, Flashboot, or Factory Reset I believe

sounds like you may have tried to install a ROM not meant for your phone. May fix the issue by installing CWM instead of TWRP or update TWRP. Updating often is a cause of status 7

I had installed this rom before, so I know the rom is good. when I click on fastboot option from the menu, nothing happens. it boots to recovery

If it boots into recovery, just flash your backup.
